Employees with Disabilities drive stronger productivity and effectiveness.  Businesses that employ the most agressively show remarkable results.

The Statistics are Overwhelming and Make a Strong Case to Employ People with Disabilities:

  • On the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services Web site ( https://www.nj.gov/humanservices/disabilityemployment.html) it says: Work can provide a sense of purpose, personal accomplishment, financial strength and self-determination. But for individuals with physical or developmental disabilities, mental illness or addiction disorders, finding an occupation can be difficult. National statistics showthat about one in five people have a disability, an estimated 1.7 million residents, in New Jersey.  Statistics also show that the unemployment rate for people with disabilities is about 14%.
  • On our National Organizations Web site: The labor force participation rate for people with disabilities sits at 32.8%; compared to 77.1% for those without disabilities (source: national Trends in Disability Employment (nTIDE) reports). While the misperception of people with disabilities slowly erodes, other barriers remain such as unconscious bias, insufficient accessible technology, and non-inclusive supply chains.
  • According to a November 30, 2023 article in Forbes, Accenture is quoted from a study: Organizations that innovate around disability inclusion make 1.6 times more revenue, 2.6 times more net income, 2 times more economic profit and are 25% more productive versus competitors.
